Monel Round Rod is a nickel-copper alloy by means of superior potency and outstanding corrosion resistance in a variety of media comprising hydrofluoric acid, sea water, alkalis, and sulfuric acid. Alloy Monel Round Bar does not undergo a ductile – to – brittle transition even when cooled to the temperature of liquid hydrogen. Monel Bars is in marked contrast to many ferrous materials which are brittle at low temperatures despite their increased strength. Monel 400 Rods is notable for its toughness, which is maintained over a considerable range of temperatures. Both cold – worked and hot-worked MONEL HEX BAR requires thermal treatment to develop the optimum combination of strength and ductility and to minimize distortion during subsequent machining.
